About Larcher’s Market

The original Larcher’s Market first opened in Wichita in 1922 by Frank Larcher. It was distinguished by its quality products and personalized customer service. Larchers market was a staple of Wichita, with a loyal customer base that helped it survive the Great Depression.

The store stayed in the family for decades, but eventually closed in 1988.

In 2023, Larcher’s reopened, staying faithful to the character and reliability of the original store.

The New Larcher’s Market at Happiness Plaza

We still aim to deliver that same excellent service while providing a variety of delectable food and drink options. Our deep Wichita roots inspire us to use local, seasonal ingredients to craft our food and cocktails.

Everything we offer can either be enjoyed sitting down in the dining room, or to-go! Experience Kansas comfort food, curated cocktails and mocktails, and a full coffee bar at the new Larcher’s Market.

In addition, we’ll also offer an extensive collection of wine and beer, and a retail section dedicated to locally grown produce, a deli case, as well as locally made products and neighborhood memorabilia.

We believe in the “local first” approach and will make sure to focus on Frank Larcher’s goals of great quality products and personalized customer service.
